Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov emphasized the importance of this area in terms of modernizing production and increasing labor productivity.

He also noted that significant growth in the machine tool industry over the past eight years has brought increasing demand for Russian products.

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the initiative, ordering the establishment of mandatory requirements for robotization at state-owned enterprises. This should stimulate demand and development of the industry as a whole.
