The e-sports team Team Spirit, with Russians and Ukrainians in its composition, won the main Dota 2 tournament The International for the second time.
In the grand final, Team Spirit defeated the European team Gaimin Gladiators 3-0. Team Spirit consists of three Russians: Magomed Khalilov, Denis Sigitov, Yaroslav Naydenov and two Ukrainians: Ilya Mulyarchuk and Miroslav Kolpakov.
As a reward for winning, the team will receive a cash prize of more than $1.4 million.
The International 12 was held in Seattle, USA from October 12 to 29.
In the summer, Team Spirit with the same lineup won the Riyadh Masters tournament in Riyadh and received $5 million. Then, in August, the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) blacklisted Mulyarchuk and Kolpakov for playing on the same team with the Russians.
