54% of information security managers believe that their companies’ employees intentionally “leaked” data, while 28% of incidents occurred unintentionally.
Most employees find out about leaks from management. One in ten people receives information from the media, up to 7% receive it through rumors and the rest from social networks or law enforcement. Most of the time, employees already know about the incident the next day.
