According to Kaspersky Lab experts, the company prevented more than 340 thousand attacks in more than a hundred countries in October. The highest figure was recorded in Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Turkey and Egypt. Russian users also encountered attempts to infect them under the name of add-ons.
“Kaspersky Lab experts have discovered a WhatsApp mod, a spyware Trojan for Android, that contains previously unknown malware. It’s called CanesSpy. “The mod has been distributed on Arabic and Azerbaijani Telegram channels for a while,” he said.
