The strategic submarine cruiser “Emperor Alexander III” launched from the White Sea, sending a missile to the Kura test range in Kamchatka. The test was carried out as usual and the missile warheads hit exactly the intended target.
This launch was made by Emperor Alexander III. It marked the final stage of testing of the cruiser Alexander, after which the cruiser is expected to be adopted into the Russian Navy.
This event highlights the ongoing renewal of the country’s strategic forces and strengthening of its defense capabilities.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, whose targets were not disclosed. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu also announced plans to strengthen the fleet with new surface and submarine ships, including the Admiral Golovko frigate and strategic nuclear submarine cruisers.
