Due to the general problems of the global economy and the chip shortage experienced last year, some big brands are canceling their previous orders to TSMC. The same fate befell Apple. This was reported by an insider on Weibo.

The whistleblower, who allegedly got the news directly from the semiconductor industry, says that Apple has reduced its orders by 120,000 wafers. The canceled orders were for chips that would be manufactured using TSMC N7, N5, N4 nodes and even some N3 nodes. Rumor has it that the A17 Bionic processor, which will sit under the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra, will be produced using TSMC’s N3 (3nm) process technology.
