Reddit user Trulywenttospace shared a shocking incident: His iPhone 15 Pro melted from the inside without connecting to the charger.
Left alone, the smartphone suddenly overheated to the point that internal components began to melt.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, the device did not explode and retained its integrity. User-posted photos show melting marks inside the screen, indicating a possible problem with the display’s power controller.
The affected user contacted the service center and was immediately provided with a replacement product. Service employees noted that this was the first time they encountered such a situation.
This incident may herald a series of reports of similar situations with the iPhone 15 Pro and will require Apple’s attention to investigate and resolve the potential issue.
