Insider @Tech_Reve reported that Apple plans to introduce a new version of Siri at WWDC 2024, powered by large language models (LLM).
The updated voice assistant will be part of iOS 18. The main AI functions will work in the cloud, but there will also be features that are only available on devices. It is noted that these options will be exclusive to the iPhone 16.
It is not yet known exactly what new features will appear in Siri. Previously, Mark Gurman mentioned the interaction between Siri and iMessage. For example, generative AI helps autocomplete messages faster. It also lets you limit playlists in Apple Music and gets integration with apps like Pages and Keynote.
According to rumors, the iPhone 16 will also have a new Capture button. However, it is not yet known for what exact function it will exist.
