Bioacquiring is a technology that allows payments to be made using biometric data such as fingerprints or facial scans. Sber currently has more than 150 thousand biometric POS terminals used to make such payments.

The creation of the cross-banking platform means that other banks will be able to use Sber’s developments in the field of bioprocurement and increase the availability of this technology for their customers.

We have previously written that the company has launched a new payment system for parking spaces in Novosibirsk, offering city residents a convenient alternative to paying through terminals that have stopped working due to the suspension of the license by the French manufacturer.
