Raiffeisenbank will deactivate outgoing dollar transfers from June 10. The reason was the position of the correspondent banks. Previously, the US Treasury sent a warning to the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International due to its work in the Russian Federation.

As follows from Raiffeisenbank’s message, the restriction applies only to US dollars and only to outgoing transactions.
Payments in US currency that are successfully executed and submitted before 4:00 pm Moscow time on June 7 will be processed subject to established restrictions.
“When making a transfer to Raiffeisen Online, starting June 1, there will be a 50% discount on the bank’s commission for making outgoing payments from individual clients in US dollars to other banks,” the bank explained.
Previously, the US Treasury threatened secondary sanctions on European banks that continue to operate in Russia. Today, two large European banks continue to operate in one form or another in the Russian Federation: the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International and the Italian UniCredit.
