Humane, founded by former Apple employees, has officially unveiled the AI Pin of its first device.
This is a small gadget consisting of two parts: a mini projector and a battery. Both parts are attached to each other using a powerful magnet. Therefore, the battery, for example, can be hidden in a pocket and an AI Pin can be attached through the fabric.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon processor (which one is not specified). It can be controlled using voices and gestures. AI Pin also has a 13 megapixel camera that can take photos, and after updating the firmware you can record video.
AI Pin can appear on calls, messages, translate text at first. In addition, AI Pin supports ChatGPT and can use generative AI to interact with the user through voices.
AI Pin sales will begin in the US in early 2024, with pre-orders opening on November 16th. The device will cost $699, and users pay $24 for a subscription that includes a phone number and Internet access through T-Mobile’s network. [The Verge]
