On Thursday (16) Google Cloud and Spotify announced the expansion of their partnership, which has been ongoing since 2016. It promises to improve the audio streaming platform in different fields, such as infrastructure, data, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
This way, Spotify will be able to leverage Google Cloud’s AI tools to improve key aspects of the platform. This includes the use of language models (LLMs).is trained to understand and create content in a human-like manner. They attempt to learn patterns for creating text, among other uses.
According to Google Cloud, this partnership will allow Spotify to improve three critical aspects of its service:
- Content discovery: improves the finding and serving algorithm platform content for users;
- Personalized recommendations: The language model will be able to understand user patterns for recommend podcasts and audiobooks;
- Safe listening: The technology will be able to find and flag potentially harmful ingredients to prevent consumers from giving the type of production a chance.
