Tinkoff Bank has prohibited its employees from working outside Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The old conditions will cease to apply in 2024. RBC writes about this with reference to sources.

Tinkoff banned working outside Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan

The company explained the decision by the fact that the bank is a systemically important organization and a subject of critical information infrastructure (CII), and by the conditions of high risk of attacks on IT infrastructure.

A representative of Tinkoff Bank, responding to a request from the publication, explained that remote work, even during vacations, is only possible with the approval of the manager.

In November 2022, Tinkoff recommended that employees who had left Russia settle in Armenia, Kazakhstan or Belarus. The bank has offices in these countries; There is a possibility that remote employees will be “cut off” to data from countries where there are no offices.

There are Tinkoff development centers in the Russian cities of Minsk, Yerevan and Almaty, but sources later said it was recommended to move to the three countries mentioned above.
