This model, which complies with US export regulations, is an alternative to the RTX 4090, which is banned in China.
Let us recall that RTX 4090 was recently included in the list of products banned for export to China due to its high overall performance (TPP above 4800 points). This has led to significant increases in graphics card prices, in some cases up to $8,000.
This has forced Chinese factories to reorient to using RTX 4090 chips for AI solutions.
The new RTX 4090 D model will have lower performance than the standard version in order to comply with new regulations.
The video card will be available through NVIDIA partners in China, and its price will be comparable to regular versions of the model, which costs around $1,599 in China.
