Kazakh crypto exchange ATAIX Eurasia will stop providing services to Russians due to EU sanctions, writes Frank Media, citing the notice the platform sent to clients.
The restriction applies not only to holders of Russian passports, but also to people living on the territory of the Russian Federation. Services will not be provided to legal entities registered in Russia.
“Our users who are subject to restrictions must take all necessary steps to close their account and withdraw funds,” the company said in a statement.
Customers will be able to withdraw money until December 15. The message from the exchange indicates that this introduction of restrictions was not an easy step, but it was necessary.
At the end of September, Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced that it would leave the Russian Federation and sell its Russian business to CommEX. As of November 15, the platform stopped supporting fiat deposits in rubles.
