Yandex has begun accepting applications for beta testing of the new Alice, which is created based on the YandexGPT 2 language model, the company reported.
A special feature of the updated assistant is the ability to maintain a coherent dialogue and answer clarifying questions, taking into account previous comments. In addition, thanks to “Search” technologies, “Alice” will have access to the Internet and will be able to use the knowledge there when responding.
It should be noted that beta users will not need to start the “Let’s figure it out” skill: the virtual assistant will solve different tasks in one dialogue, taking into account the context.
For example, “Alice” will tell you which fairy tales were written in the 19th century, and then read the chosen one. She explains why the sky is blue and how the northern lights arise.
The new “Alice” will also feature additional games and educational activities for children’s daily development. Additionally, the company will add the “Help for loved ones” skill for quick communication with family members.
