one. ?? it was the emoji of the year
The “always on” emoji according to Tinder survey?? (featuring arrows on either side and the word “open” in the middle) was the most popular sticker on the network in 2023. The sticker served to inform matches about the possibility of trying new things and exploring new relationships. It even appeared in the bios to give it a more optimistic outlook.
2. CSE made waves in the relationship
Singles in 2023 have adopted more of a CSE (Connections Without Expectations) approach to relationships. Approximately 27% of users aged 18-25 chose the “I like to explore” option from Tinder’s “Relationship Types” function, while 22% were still undecided and chose the “I don’t know yet” option.

According to Tinder, 2023 has been a year of creating experiences. The platform has seen a “shift towards a more open-minded approach”, with singles embracing the energy of a hero involved in a story. The platform noted that the term “plot” in bios is on the rise, being used 5.5 times more.
