33-year-old State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova has proposed to ban video games with a display of violence and LGBT propaganda in Russia. The deputy referred The Sims 3, The Last of Us, Fallout, Assassin’s Creed and others to such games.

Video games that demonstrate violence and LGBT relationships proposed to be prohibited by law

It is proposed to ban video games that contain scenes of violence and promote non-traditional sexual relations by amending the bill to prohibit LGBT propaganda. The MP’s proposal provides reforms to two laws and the Code of Administrative Offenses.

We are talking about the games Assassin’s Creed, Borderlands, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Dragon Age, Life Is Strange, The Last of Us, Fallout, Apex Legends, RimWorld, Overwatch, The Sims 3 and others.

If the amendments are adopted for the dissemination of prohibited information, that is, video games, a fine of up to 5 million rubles can be imposed. Liability will be imposed, among other things, for the dissemination of information that may encourage children to want to change their sex.

The State Duma approved the bill on the ban on LGBT propaganda at first reading.
