Mansana D whatsapp have activated a new feature to transfer messaging app chats from an Android device to a new iPhone. This is part of the tool update Go to iOS.
This tool allows you to transfer a large amount of data from Android to iPhone: contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, Internet bookmarks, email accounts, calendars, various screen settings, and more. As iOS has been updated, Apple has added more features, including this one that lets you import chats and their content from WhatsApp to a new device.
This new feature is part of a collaborative effort between Mansana D whatsapp. It aims to solve one of the biggest headaches for people who want to ditch Android for iPhone: losing all their chats.
Historically backup chats, photos and videos whatsapp on android it’s done on Google Drive. While on the iPhone this is done in iCloudcausing a problem when moving from one device to another, because just no way to transfer backup from one cloud platform to another. This new feature attempts to remove that hurdle.
Mansanaalso made it clear that you won’t have access to chat content, photos, or videos during the migration process. In fact, data transfer – like the rest of the process – is carried out with a direct connection between devices. Theoretically, this increases the transfer speed as it does not need to go through the WhatsApp cloud and is dependent on an internet connection.
In addition to transferring all WhatsApp chats, photos and videos from Android to iOS, the migration wizard will also analyze all installed applications and install those that are present in the App Store and are free.
Transfer your WhatsApp chats from Android to iPhone: currently in beta
This new feature is currently is in beta. Not by Apple, which is already included in the migration tool known as Go to iOS. WhatsApp has activated it for people who have access to beta versions of the app, and gradually it will be activated for all users.
It is also important to clarify that at the moment it is only available for regular WhatsApp. Migrating chats, photos and videos from Android to iOS not available for whatsapp business.
