The company MedTech Medical Screening Systems, creator of the X-ray image analysis platform Celsus, has consolidated the developer of the artificial intelligence system for analyzing medical research Botkin.AI. Recently, Roszdravnadzor suspended the use of Botkin.AI.
According to Kontur.Focus, as of December 6, 100% of Intellogic LLC belongs to Medical Screening Systems LLC. Both companies reside in Skolkovo.
Intellogic was founded in 2015, in 2017 the Primer Capital fund invested in the project and later the investor Igor Kim invested in the startup. In 2019, the company raised 100 million rubles from various investors. The capital included RBV Capital, billionaire Alexey Repik’s R-Pharm and the Digital Evolution Ventures fund (the investor is Rosatom).
In 2020, the company received another 160 million rubles in Series B, the main investor of which was Unicorn Capital Partners. The Tashir Medica holding company became a co-investor.
As of December 6, there were 10 individuals and legal entities among the participants of Intellogic LLC. At the end of 2022, Intellogic’s revenue amounted to 1.5 million rubles, the loss was 139 million rubles, compared to a loss of 104 million rubles the previous year.
In addition to the owners, the company also changed its CEO. Since December 6, Artem Kapninsky has been commercial director of Medical Screening Systems. RB.RU sent a request to Kapninsky, Botkin.AI and Celsus.
Medical Screening Systems, in turn, is 55.8% owned by MSS LLC. Another 38.7% is owned by KF Ventures LLC (Kama Flow). The remaining 5.6% is held by Unicorn Capital Partners.
The latest edition of Kommersant previously said that Intellogik is currently in the process of “technical reorganization.”
DC Engineering LLC CEO Gleb Antipov explained to RB.RU that the reorganization could be a way to optimize financial and accounting components and redistribute accounts receivable.
Last month, Roszdravnadzor suspended the use of the Botkin.AI system, citing the possibility of causing health harm. Unicorn Capital Partners told Kommersant that the threat of damage is “completely excluded.”
Expert on foreign economic activity, speaker from Skolkovo Regarding the issue of trade, Semyon Kramskoy clarified to RB.RU that the funds allocated to Intellogik for development have probably been exhausted and problems with the system have been identified.
“Now the format of cooperation with the startup, its level of support and subsequent stages of financing will be checked again and agreed upon,” Kramskoy believes.
