YouTube has started rolling out a feature for creators may temporarily pause new comments from being added to the video.
The news was brought to you this Thursday (7) by YouTube Creators and Currently under implementation for all users. The resource was in the experimental phase, but received positive feedback from participants and became an official resource.
According to YouTube, the pause comments function is a Action to help creators with moderation. The idea is that the user activates the button only when your videos receive a lot of new engagement and you cannot keep up with the community’s opinions.

Previously, it was only possible to disable comments permanently, causing previous posts to disappear from the video page. Additionally, manually approving all comments was a very laborious task, especially for popular channels.
Now, Already published interactions remain online after pausinghowever, adding new broadcasts will be blocked until the channel owner disables this function.
To turn on the pause comments button on the video platform, simply select the option from the settings of the clip in question. Icon added YouTube Studio both in the app for mobile devices and in the browser version on PC.
YouTube also confirmed a new moderation mechanism. Temporarily suspended comment options have been renamed to allow the creator to ban “potentially inappropriate” interactions or a narrower set of lines that are more likely to be banned by you.
