With a massive 39.3-meter mirror and advanced adaptive optics, the ELT promises to “redefine the way we think about space.” Once operational, it will surpass existing telescopes and open new horizons in the study of exoplanets, black holes, dark matter and the early Universe.

For space enthusiasts, the ELT in Chile will become a space hub for decades to come, leaving other telescope projects in its dark cosmic shadow.
