Yandex Food has created its own restaurant guide using a neural network – Ultima Guide

The company’s press service reported that the neural network analyzed more than 30 thousand sites. The next stage was voting in two formats: 70 experts from the restaurant industry voted on a special website, and tens of thousands of users voted using polls in the Yandex applications and in the Alice browser.

“The results were calculated using a specially developed Yandex evaluation model, prepared with the methodological and analytical support of the consulting firm Yakov and Partners with the participation of Ekaterina Pugacheva, chairwoman of the jury of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in the Russian region. Eastern Europe and Central Asia,” the company clarifies.

Thus, the best of the best (those that obtained the highest scores) were preselected: there are a total of 50 positions on the list, among which are the “Tottori” with authentic Japanese cuisine, the Indian “Moscow Delhi” with an open kitchen , the Turkish “MeatPoint” with takeout only, Beluga, Folk, SAVVA and others.

Details can be found on the Open Kitchen website, in Yandex Food and in Yandex Maps (you need to type in the search “Ultimate Guide” or “Yandex Food Guide”).

So far, the guide only works in Moscow, but the company plans to expand the project to other regions.
