This was to be expected, as Apple lists all devices that ceased production and sale more than five years ago as obsolete devices. This list also included Mickey Beats Solo3 wireless headphones.

Apple began shipping the iPhone SE in spring 2016 as a budget-friendly alternative to its flagship models. The iPhone SE had a 4.7″ IPS display, a Home button with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The device was equipped with an Apple A9 processor, 2 GB RAM and a single 12 MP camera. The smartphone was powered by a 1715 mAh battery.

When Apple obsoletes a device, support and component production for that device ceases.
