In the United States, an AI volunteer was hired for the election campaign. The robot calls voters and encourages them to vote for a specific candidate. In addition, he politely answers people’s questions: the volunteer communicates with each interlocutor individually.
Ashley, an AI volunteer, has joined the ranks of the electoral campaign of a Democratic Party candidate for the United States Congress. The robot campaigns to vote for a candidate and answers voters’ questions, Reuters writes.
Ashley uses AI technologies similar to ChatGPT. She can hold a conversation with multiple voters at once and the conversation takes place individually with each person. To personalize the conversation, the robot uses data from the voter card.
The robot can speak 20 languages and its speech is similar to human speech. However, the developers deliberately introduced distortions into Ashley’s voice so that conversations with her do not mislead people and they do not perceive her as a living person.
