Finally, confirmation has surfaced online that the device will feature a modern frameless design. The official presentation of the new product is planned to be held at CES 2024 on January 8, and the smartphone will appear in China on January 16.
Asus’ official Weibo account has confirmed that the ROG Phone 8 will do away with the notch seen on previous models and will instead feature a small camera hole, in line with current trends.
The first images of the device also show design changes: no visible vents on the back panel, moderate use of RGB lighting, and a clean and stylish design.
The ROG Phone 8 looks less aggressive and more elegant than previous models, while maintaining its status as a gaming smartphone.
According to available information, ROG Phone 8 is expected to be an impressive smartphone with a modern design but not forgetting its purpose as a gaming device.
