FAS has opened proceedings against several chicken egg producers. In private cases, they allowed an increase in sales prices of 94%; The department found signs of violation of the law in this.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service has opened several cases against chicken egg producers. This was reported by the service on its Telegram channel.
In Crimea, cases were initiated against Partizan LLC and Oktyabrskoye JV LLC. Since the beginning of September, they have allowed a 94% increase in sales prices for various categories of eggs, the FAS noted.
“In the opinion of the service, a single and synchronous increase in the price, not associated with changes in other general conditions of circulation of goods, has signs of violation of the Law on Protection of Competition,” the FAS said.
The Kirov regional department accused Sovetskaya Agrofirm LLC and Vyatsko-Polyanskaya Poultry Farm JSC of increasing prices for chicken eggs. From June to October, wholesale prices rose by 60%.
“The department has opened proceedings against the companies based on a cartel agreement,” the department said.
The cases were initiated against the background of a significant increase in prices for chicken eggs in Russia. In the last month alone, retail prices have increased an average of 15%. In some regions, retail chains are imposing restrictions on selling eggs to a single person.
