A new study based on data from 312,599 adult alcohol drinkers reveals alarming risks associated with excessive alcohol consumption, especially during one night.

The results showed that the risk of alcohol-related liver disease was five times higher in heavy drinkers and nine times higher in heavy drinkers. The study emphasizes that liver health is significantly affected not only by the amount of alcohol but also by the nature of its consumption.

With the incidence of liver disease increasing, this study provides healthcare providers with critical tools to identify people at increased risk and intervene effectively.
