Thus, information emerged that Apple will go further in photography capabilities in the future and introduce an iPhone with 10x tetraprismatic zoom.
According to recent rumors, the Cupertino team has decided to replace one of its lens suppliers, LG Innotek, with the Chinese ICT company, a subsidiary of Luxshare.
The reasons for the change were not disclosed, but a source from South Korea reported that it was due to inadequate cooperation conditions or possible quality problems.
It’s not yet clear when Apple will introduce an updated iPhone with 10x zoom, but it doesn’t look like this will happen with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which are said to have an improved tetraprismatic lens with a maximum zoom of 5x.
It is worth noting that the new lens will cost the company more than the parts installed on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
