Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed a new deputy director of the Ministry of Digital Development. This is Sergei Kuchushev – he will oversee state policy in the field of information technology development. In July, the former deputy head of the department, Maxim Parshin, was sent to a pre-trial detention center.
The Head of Government, Mikhail Mishustin, appointed Sergei Kuchushev as deputy director of the Ministry of Digital Development. The Prime Minister’s order was published on the official portal of legal acts.
In this position, Kuchushev will oversee state policy in the field of information technology development. He will develop a digital transformation strategy, transfer government agencies to Russian IT solutions and accredit IT companies.
Previously, Kuchushev headed the government relations department of the Vostok Investments holding company and also worked at Yandex and Ozon.
In October, Mishustin removed Dmitry Oguryaev, Deputy Minister of Digitalization, from his position and appointed Sergei Tsvetkov to this position. In July, former deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maxim Parshin was sent to a pre-trial detention center in connection with a bribery case.
