Java, Golang and iOS Programmers Named Highest-Paid IT Specialists in 2023

The highest-paid IT specialists at the end of 2023 were Java, Golang, and iOS programmers. This follows from the results of a joint study of the BestDoctor and hh.ru platforms.

The highest salaries in IT are offered by software development companies, system integrators and Internet companies. They account for 80% of IT vacancies with salaries above 400 thousand rubles per month.

“Several factors contributed to the growth of salaries in IT: the development of the trend towards digitalization, the need to develop our own Russian software and solutions, the growth and development of technology companies and providers,” noted Mark Sanevich, co-founder of BestDoctor Group of companies.

Among the regions, the highest IT salaries are offered in the Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions, as well as Tatarstan.

In 2023, the share of IT vacancies with remote work decreased to 27%. Job offers offering work in hybrid format have increased: from 10% in 2021 to 15% in 2023.

The study was carried out based on the analysis of more than 160 thousand vacancies for programmers and developers published throughout Russia during the 11 months of 2023.
