This difference from traditional systems, where random keys are generated using software, makes the new development virtually hack-proof.

The uniqueness of the generator lies in the use of a laser with a detector that creates random pulses. This overcomes the problem of software encryption that makes powerful computers vulnerable to hacking. The new system is based on the principles of radio photonics and optics, making it virtually immune to hacking logic.

Developed as part of the Priority 2030 program, the generator uses an optical pair of quantum cascade lasers and a quantum cascade detector, created in close collaboration with manufacturing company Connector Optics LLC. Experiments have shown that the generated sequences are completely random and resistant to hacking.

The created device is compact and capable of operating in the microwave communication range, which allows it to be integrated into advanced data transmission systems, providing a new level of information security.
