In early 2024, Russian Railways plans to launch a web version of the ticket purchasing application (PWA). It can be used, even on iPhone, instead of removing it from the App Store.
PWA is a version of the portal adapted for smartphones, with its help you can use all the functions of the site. In the first stage, only long-distance trains will be available, in the future commuter services will also appear, writes RIA Novosti.
The company reminded that it is not necessary to delete or reinstall the application on iOS smartphones. Already installed versions will continue to work, but new ones cannot be installed when uninstalled, they noted.
In July, Russian Railways (RZD) reported a “massive hacker attack” on its website and mobile app. The site and app were later restored, but massive attacks continued.
Previously reported on the development of an automated Start REQ solution, which helps prevent the emergence of vulnerabilities in the early stages of development.
