At the end of the year, 30.7 million devices worth 681 billion rubles were sold in Russia. Sales results on the Russian market became the third in terms of revenue and number of smartphones over the past five years.
MTS analysts believe that the main factor was pent-up demand. Over the past two years, consumers have started delaying smartphone purchases due to economic factors.

Higher figures were recorded in 2020 in units (30.8 million) and in 2021 in money (728 billion rubles).
In 2023, smartphone sales increased by 26% in units and by 22% in money compared to 2022. The average price decreased by 3% due to high-end watches in the category up to 10 thousand rubles – over the year it increased 1.5 times. It now accounts for 37% of unit sales.
The share of Chinese smartphones in units and money was 81% and 50%, respectively. This is 10% and 5% more than a year ago.
Infinix and TECNO grew in popularity cheaper. For example, Infinix sales grew 4 times in units and 4.5 times in money. TECNO sales increased by 2.2 and 2.4 times, respectively.
The most popular brand for sales of such items is Redmi. Seven devices from the TOP 10 encountered it. In terms of money, Apple retains its leadership with indicators in the TOP 10.
