There are four symptoms of heart disease that can be confused with the flu. These are fatigue, nausea, high fever, heavy sweating.

burnout. According to the British Heart Foundation, extreme fatigue is a sign of heart failure and other heart-related conditions. Harvard Medical School adds that this sign may indicate the presence of coronary heart disease.

Nausea. According to the Mayo Clinic in the US, this may be a sign of coronary heart disease. Nausea is more common in women than men. In addition to chest discomfort, women also experience symptoms such as shortness of breath, severe fatigue and nausea.

Heat. In the early stages of heart failure, a person may experience fever, chills, and other flu-like symptoms. Additionally, this disease can cause body aches in the early stages. Fever may also be a symptom of myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle.

To sweat. Feeling hot along with chest pain is a sign that you need urgent medical attention.
