RBC reports that Wildberry is increasing its commission for sellers starting January 8th.
The increase will only affect household appliances and electronics. On average, the rate increase will be five percentage points and will be set at 10–23%.
The company noted that over the past year they reduced the commission on electronics by 2 times, thanks to which sellers were able to increase their income. Tariffs for these categories were reduced in May and separately for sellers of new Apple gadgets in September.
For a tenth of such goods as headphones, projectors, electric scooters and chargers, rates are not configurable; for a fifth, rates will increase by 2 percentage points. (monitors, cameras, gamepads, etc.). But, for example, on processors the commission increased by 7 percentage points. – from 5 to 12%, for smart watches – from 10 p.p. — from 5 to 15%.

Tinkoff e-commerce director Ilya Kretov noted that sellers of electronics and household appliances will most likely include part of the cost of additional commission in prices for the end consumer. However, in order not to scare away the buyer with a sharp jump in prices, the cost of goods in these categories should be increased carefully. [РБК]
