Samsung introduced its new 2024 Odyssey OLED displays

Samsung introduced its triple OLED monitor for 2024 just before CES 2024. The launches are part of the Odyssey family, which promises high-resolution images and high refresh rate.

There are three new models: Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) 27″, Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) 32″ and Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD) 49″.

The most expensive of the set, the Odyssey OLED G9, offers a curved display with a 32:9 aspect ratio, 240 Hz refresh rate, and 5120×1440 resolution (Quad HD, but expanded).

Odyssey OLED G8, on the other hand, has a 32-inch flat screen, 16: 9 aspect ratio and 4K resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Finally, there is the Odyssey OLED G6, another 27″ flat screen with 1440p resolution and 360 Hz frequency.

The technical page of each composition represents a different proposal. The Odyssey OLED G9 is an option for those looking for a huge, versatile monitor with a striking build, while the Odyssey OLED G6 is aimed at gamers focused on competitive gaming and high frame rates.

All monitors in this new launch are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, support a maximum brightness of 400 nits, and are compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. On the outside, there are two HDMI 2.1 video inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, and USB inputs.

Additionally, the G8 and G9 models feature a variety of smart TV features, including access to streaming apps, Gaming Hub support, and control via SmartThings. There is also “Multi Control”, a function that allows you to transfer images and text between Samsung devices.
