You may lose your confidential data when connected to such chargers. The danger is that the “stuffing” may not be ordinary USB cables, but special cables that are needed to read data from phones, tablets and laptops. Public charging stations may also contain specialized hacking equipment.

Moreover, not only professional cybercriminals but also owners of charging racks can leak information, for example, to trade stolen data.

To avoid this situation, you should avoid charging devices from such stations, use only your own chargers and connect to normal sockets. If there is no output, turn off the device when connected. When connected to a public charging station, do not allow some applications to suddenly activate, supposedly for better performance or under any pretext.
