The head of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate, Alexander Bykov, said that a prototype of a traffic light with a biometric switch for persons on Berezhkovskaya Embankment was protested in the capital.

The device allows you to record violations of pedestrian traffic rules at a pedestrian crossing.

Photo recording provides for the provision of a pedestrian movement track and a traffic signal. If a pedestrian violates the Russian Federation Traffic Regulations, his image (without identification marks) is broadcast on an electronic information display board located next to the visual impairment.

Bykov also noted that to improve the efficiency of this system, it is necessary to introduce mandatory biometrics for citizens. Changes to the relevant regulatory legal acts and national standards are proposed, which will fully comply with the objectives set in the national projects. [ТАСС]
