Apple is currently testing its own version of generative AI that will compete with Google’s Bard and ChatGPT. Despite the limited use of AI at present, the company is on track to integrate the technology into a variety of applications before the end of this year.

At the center of this process will be the improved Siri, which is planned to be introduced at WWDC 2024. The update promises to fix previous Siri shortcomings, improve contextual performance, personalization, and provide compatibility across all Apple devices.

Insider information hints that Siri could store information between iPhone and Mac, allowing for seamless interaction. Apple’s investment in generative AI extends beyond Siri: the company plans to integrate a new “Apple-exclusive creative service” into the Shortcuts app.
