Sony showed off a new headset at CES 2024 that’s designed to create 3D content by “mapping objects onto physical space.”

The company says its patented rendering technology allows for high-level texture rendering in the shortest possible time.

The helmet is equipped with a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor and two 4K OLED displays. Control is carried out using two controllers. One of them is worn like a ring on a finger.

The start of sales of the helmet is planned for 2024, the price is still unknown.
