Telegram’s audience in Russia has increased by 30 million users in the last two years and, in October last year, it amounted to 83.3 million people. In terms of audience in Russia, the Telegram messenger is in second place after VK, whose audience is estimated at 89.2 million users.

Telegram is second in popularity in Russia among instant messaging and social networks. On the first line is VK with an audience of 89.2 million users. In third place in terms of audience in Russia is TikTok with 67.6 million users, followed by Odnoklassniki with 50.1 million users.
In fifth place is the social network Instagram, owned by Meta (the organization’s activities are recognized as extremist and prohibited in the Russian Federation). Its audience after the blockade in Russia was reduced by half, to 25.1 million users.
Previously, Telegram founder Pavel Durov talked about the growth of Telegram Premium users four times over the year. Durov called the Telegram subscription the fastest growing subscription among instant messaging services.
