Alexa gains new productive AI skills; get to know each one

Amazon has revealed three new skills for Alexa, the company’s digital personal assistant. They were presented at CES 2024, this year’s edition of one of the world’s largest technology fairs.

There are three new features in total to use artificial intelligence (AI) for content creation and interaction with the user. Development began in September 2023, when the company started integrating this technology into the platform.

The three skills were added to Alexa in English last Tuesday (9). But they It may take longer for the assistant to appear in the Brazilian Portuguese version.

Alexa’s new skills with artificial intelligence

Alexa’s first new skill is Character.ai. A chatbot that simulates the personalities of famous names from various periods and walks of life.

With this skill you can: “Just for fun conversations” with artificial intelligence replicating professions such as a personal trainer or actually existing figures such as the philosopher Socrates. It is also possible, for example, to play RPGs or take tips from books and movies.
