Wildberries promises to compensate buyers and sellers for losses caused by warehouse fire in Shushary

The Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message about a fire in a warehouse on the Moskovskoye highway at 07:42, after which the fire was assigned a higher rank of number 2. Further analysis showed that the fire was much larger. severe: and now it was assigned the highest rank of complexity: increased number 5.

In a few hours, the fire area increased 50 times – from a thousand square meters. At the same time, the forces involved in fighting the fire also increased: from 83 specialists and 20 teams to 270 firefighters and 57 teams.

RBC reports that, according to one of the initial versions, the cause of the fire could have been arson. The publication also mentions a massive fight that previously occurred near the warehouse, after which security forces raided the place.

The online retailer quickly confirmed the information about the fire. Representatives of the company that owns the warehouse reported that:

• “The products placed in the Shushary warehouse will be hidden from the market window.
• Buyers will receive a refund for lost orders.
• “Sellers will be compensated for any damaged or lost items.”

The representative of the Wildberries press service, Alexander Korovko, told Izvestia that there is no data on the damage yet, the main thing is that people were evacuated and were not injured. The company will report on new developments as information becomes available.
