Raiffeisenbank has registered a domain similar to the address of the Domklik service

A domain ownership record appeared on December 14, 2023, the domain itself was delegated.

The Raiffeisenbank press service explained that this domain is registered for internal use. The company conducts information security training among bank employees.

“A high level of employee information security knowledge is an important component of protecting information systems in the interests of our customers. The domain is not intended to be used for other purposes, including commercial ones,” the credit institution explained.

As previously discovered by RB.RU, Sberbank acquired the domain a1fastrah.ru, similar to the address of the AlfaStrakhovanie website. Both companies did not comment on the situation. As lawyers point out, the purchase of a similar domain in itself is not a violation, however, it deserves the attention of the copyright holder.

If the copyright holder goes to court, experts explain, and proves similarity to the point of confusion, the company can be prohibited from offering similar services on a website with that domain name. The domain acquired by Sberbank has not yet been delegated.
