On January 11, the rocket was successfully launched from the deck of a ship in the Yellow Sea, opening a new page in the country’s space industry.
The main investor of this ambitious project was miHoYo, the developer of Genshin Impact. The combined efforts of MiHoYo and other partners enabled Orienspace to launch Gravity-1 and place a satellite constellation into orbit.
Capable of carrying up to 6,500 kg of payload into low Earth orbit, Gravity-1 has become China’s most powerful commercial rocket and the country’s most powerful solid-fuel launch vehicle.
During its maiden flight, the rocket launched three Yunyao-1 weather satellites into orbit.
