Since May last year, YouTube began restricting video access to users with active ad blockers, requiring them to allow ads or purchase a YouTube Premium subscription. In June, restrictions were further tightened, reducing the number of views for such users to three videos. And in November, there was a decision to slow down the entire platform for users with blockers.
According to users on Reddit, YouTube becomes slow and unresponsive when an ad blocker is enabled in your browser. But the situation will improve if you disable the blocker or switch to a paid subscription.
In this case, the winners (for now) are the Russians and more, who have officially disabled ads on the platform.
