Distributor VVP Group plans to produce televisions at Samsung’s plant in Kaluga. The company can produce equipment both under its own brand and for other companies, Kommersant reported.
Experts believe that in the future the VVP group will be able to produce other equipment, for example washing machines. Interlocutors of the publication claim that the company fully or partially acquired the company in Kaluga, but Samsung emphasizes that it has no intention of selling the capacity.
Analysts did not evaluate the agreement, since now the value of such assets is “more political than market”, emphasizing that “the television line is small.”
