The company Hermeus (USA), specializing in cosmetic technologies, has completed ground tests of the Quarterhorse Mark 0 – Prototype of the future flying prototype. The current record is 3.3 times, but for the unknown legendary Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird.

Quarterhorse Mark 0 is not included in any of the basic categories and record holders in and communication systems. Testing is being conducted at the US Air Force’s Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) in Texas, Tennessee.

These three prototypes are designed to dismantle the draft system, limit the sound barrier and achieve a speed of 3.3 times their record. Using four pre-production prototypes reduces the risk of failure and allows the company’s specialists to focus on achieving the final goal. The Mark 1 prototype is about exactly that.
