According to Omdia market research analyst Hiroshi Hayase and Bloomberg reporter Takashi Mochizuki, the new product promises to be a significant step forward.

Switch 2 is expected to have an 8-inch IPS display. Nintendo plans to produce approximately 10 million consoles in its first fiscal year; it’s an ambitious goal, especially considering Sony’s initial difficulties with the PlayStation5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S due to chip shortages.

It’s important to note that the Switch 2 likely won’t have an OLED version at launch, although such a model may appear in the future.

The device will be equipped with NVIDIA Tegra 239 chipset, 8 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. There are also rumors that support will be provided for Ray Tracing and 1080p games with 5nm processors.

The price of the new Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be around $399, which is a significant increase over the original console.
